Dr. Shalini Thasma is a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) graduate of New York University College of Dentistry — one of the most respected dental programs in the United States. Before coming to the US, she earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from VMS Dental College in Salem, India, and practiced as an Associate Dentist in a multi-speciality dental office for two years, gaining broad clinical experience across general and specialist dental care.

Dr. Thasma founded Coit Dental in 2010 with a simple belief: patients deserve conservative, preventive-first care from a dentist who takes the time to truly listen. After years working in group practices across New Jersey and Texas, she built her own practice around the values that corporate dental groups often leave little room for — individualised treatment plans, unhurried appointments, and a long-term relationship with every patient she sees.

In 2020, Coit Dental relocated to its current home at 4617 Coit Rd, STE #110, Frisco, TX 75035, where Dr. Thasma continues to serve families across Frisco, Little Elm, and the surrounding communities. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and is committed to lifelong learning through continuing dental education.

Dr. Thasma is married and has three children. Her interests include cooking for her family, listening to music, and spending time with her kids.
